How It Works
Point at anything.
Photo, screenshot, or camera shot — any image works. One tool instead of forty single-purpose apps, and no guessing which one to open.
Upload a photoGet an answer you can check.
Every result shows a confidence score, the close look-alikes we ruled out, and the visual cues that decided the match — so you can verify, not just trust.

Keep what you find.
Results save to your collection with date, place and notes. Export a coin album, a plant log, or a field list whenever you need one.

People reach for IdentifyAny when they need a name fast — and a reason to believe it.
I inherited a tin of loose change from my grandfather. Two evenings with IdentifyAny and the whole tray was catalogued, graded and priced. It flagged a 1909-S I would have passed over.
Every plant in my flat came from a market with no label. Now they all have names, watering schedules, and a note about which ones the cat should stay away from.
I teach fourth grade. The kids photograph whatever they find on the field trip and get a real answer with the reasoning shown. It turned a walk into a lesson.
Foraging is where wrong answers matter. What I trust here is the look-alike list — it tells me exactly what to rule out before anything goes in the basket.
The right model for every subject.
A coin needs edge detail. A bird needs silhouette and song. IdentifyAny routes each photo to the model trained on that world.
Q & A
How accurate is an identification?
Top-1 match rate averages 98.4% across our benchmark set, though it varies by subject and photo quality. Every result carries a confidence score and the runner-up candidates, so an uncertain match never looks like a certain one.
Can I rely on it for mushrooms, plants or snakes?
Treat it as a first opinion, not a final one. For anything you plan to eat, touch or approach, work through the look-alike list shown with the match and confirm with a local expert or field guide.
Is there a free tier?
Three identifications a day with no account. A free account raises that to twenty and unlocks saved collections. Paid plans add unlimited identifications, batch upload and export.
What makes a good photo?
Fill the frame, use even daylight, and include something for scale. For coins, shoot both faces. For plants, add a leaf close-up. For insects, a side angle beats a top-down one.
What happens to the photos I upload?
They are processed for your identification and stored only in your own collection. You can delete any photo at any time, and nothing you upload trains our models unless you opt in.
